Philadelphia Eagles Use Customized DIGIDECK Presentations To Immerse Partners

The NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles are using DIGIDECK’s advanced customization features and analytics capabilities to bring their storied brand to life for corporate partners

The Challenge

Like any organization, the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles take pride in their brand.

Their identity is its own little piece of American history. The “Eagles” moniker dates back to the team’s founding in 1933, and was selected as an homage to the National Recovery Administration, established that same year in the wake of the Great Depression.

For Vice President of Corporate Partner Activations Tracy Foster and her team, finding a platform to effectively convey that identity to partners was crucial.

“We pride ourselves on our brand and making it our own, and bringing that to life for our partners is important to us,” she said.

Foster and her team primarily use DIGIDECK to create Recaps and Action Plans for Eagles partners. A former PowerPoint user, she says the ubiquitous presentation software just wasn’t cutting it.

“It’s very limited with very large files,” she said. “It was always a lot of time and effort cutting, copying, and pasting slides to make it work.”

But beyond the sheer logistical conundrums of distilling the Eagles brand down to static slides and swapping clunky files over email, Foster and her team encountered a more complex problem: Keeping tabs on her team’s presentations once they were in the hands of a partner.

“We never really knew what would happen with it from there.”

“We pride ourselves on being forward thinking and innovative. We wanted to be able to deliver something to our partners that would be as innovative as the ideas we were creating for them and the content we were creating for them.”

The Solution

As longtime DIGIDECK partners, the Eagles leverage the platform to create highly-customized partnership recaps and action plans quickly based on their slickly-produced Master Deck.

Instead of a static image, one of the first things users see when they open an Eagles recap is a highlight reel from the 2019 season complete with relevant viewership and engagement numbers.

“We obviously pride ourselves on being forward thinking and innovative,” Foster said. “We wanted to be able to deliver something to our partners that would be as innovative as the ideas we were creating for them and the content we were creating for them.”

Customization is one of the hallmarks of an Eagles presentation, and it’s one of Foster’s favorite aspects of Sportsdigita’s platform.

“We don’t do cookiecutter,” Foster said. “A partner doesn’t come in at a certain level and get certain assets. We take a very hands-on, ‘needs analysis’ approach.”

With DIGIDECK’s robust set of customization tools, like the ability to quickly add a partner’s logo to a presentation or easily activate and deactivate specific slides and groups of slides, Eagles presentations are more bespoke than ever.

“We’ve done a much better job this year of customizing it even more to our specific partners,” Foster said.

Her team, for whom in-person meetings with partners were once the norm, now has the means to not only share compelling presentations with their partners digitally, but can also keep tabs on detailed viewership statistics through DIGIDECK’s analytics features.

The Results

The Eagles, who also leverage DIGIDECK for their Premium Seating presentations, are looking to use the platform’s sharing tools to an even greater degree as the NFL’s first season of the COVID-19 era approaches.

“We’ve started to look at what types of tools we’ll need in order to work in an environment where we can’t have a face-to-face meeting,” Foster said.

Meanwhile, their appetite for customization is growing all the time.

“My activation team now has the capabilities and options to customize the program to fit their partner’s personality,” Foster said.

After seeing the way DIGIDECK has overhauled the organization’s approach to presentations, Foster and her Eagles colleagues are big fans of the platform.

“I would recommend it to any NFL team,” she said.
